Add a Pandora Polishing Cloth to your shopping bag.
Oxidized Jewellery - is meant to fade to an antique look as it is worn. How quickly the oxidation disappears, depends on how the jewellery is handled. Things which can cause the oxidation to fade faster include sweat (if you wear jewellery while doing sports or exercising), chlorine, perfumes, body creams and cleaning agents. Oxidation that fades is not considered to be a defect but is considered normal wear.
Wood Beads - are made from hardwoods and are protected by layers of lacquer which enhance their durability. Wood is a natural product and these beads do need a little extra care. To clean, use a polishing cloth on the silver part only (not the wood) and do not expose to water or any chemicals.
Bracelets - Pandora bracelets will stretch slightly over time. The increase in length will vary depending on how many charms are worn on the bracelets. Pandora clips are recommended to minimize stretching. They should be used to evenly distribute your Pandora charms around the bracelet and thus reduce stress caused by too many charms hanging on one particular section of the bracelet.
Pandora Clasps - When closing your Pandora clasp, never use force. Forcing the clasp closed can cause permanent damage to the bracelet. Ensure the bracelet is sitting correctly in the bed of the clasp. Never use tools to open the clasp (with the exception of the Pandora Clasp opener).
Threading Your Pandora Charms - Pandora charms should be gently threaded on the bracelet. Should a charm get stuck on the thread, return it to us or bring it in to any Pandora retailer and it will be sent back to the Pandora head office where they will decide if this is a warranty issue.
Pandora Murano Glass Charms - These charms are made of glass that is fired at a very high temperature to make sure they stand up to everyday wear. Please take care to avoid chips or cracks. Also avoid exposure to chemicals that can cause an etched appearance. Glass charms that become damaged in these ways are not covered under warranty.
Pandora Charms with Pearls -Pearls should never be worn in water containing detergents or chemicals. Special care should also be taken to never expose pearls to any product containing a high alkaline content such as hair spray, perfumes and soaps. All these chemicals can strip the pearl of it's outer pearly layer. Also avoid expose to extreme heat or cold.
Pandora Leather Items -Leather is a natural material and will soften over time especially where folded or knotted. Hold the folded part of the lariat still and twist the charm on slowly when putting a charm on a lariat to avoid damaging that part of the leather. For leather bracelets, hold on to the metal end that the charm is being twisted on to on while threading on a charm to prevent the leather from unweaving. Leather can also stretch or fade and this is not considered a defect and therefore not covered under the warranty.
For maximum protection when not being worn we recommend that your Pandora is wrapped in acid-free tissue and stored in a plastic bag with an interlocking seal. This will prevent it from being exposed to sulfur in the environment that will tarnish the silver.
