Our new Pandora sterling silver and enamel Babushka charm is a traditional “babushka doll” is a young woman with a head wrap on and orange enamel flower in her hand. The Russian nesting dolls are considered to be a symbol of motherhood and fertility. Babushka means “old woman” in Russia and they used these dolls as a symbol of fertility and to represent future generations.
